Vladimir Aleksandrovich Gusinsky (Владимир Александрович Гусинский, ; born 6 October 1952) is a Russian media tycoon.

He founded the Media-Most holding company that included the NTV free-to-air channel, the newspaper Segodnya, and a number of magazines.

Gusinsky was born into a Jewish family in Moscow on 6 October 1952.

In 1969, Gusinsky enrolled in Gubkin Institute of Oil and Gas, however, he did not finish his education there.

1973

He joined the USSR Army in 1973 as a Junior Sergeant in the Chemical Intelligence Troops.

1975

In 1975, after being demobilized, Gusinsky enrolled in the State Institute for the Study of Theatrical Arts (Russian: ГИТИС English: GITIS).

1979

He graduated in 1979 with his graduating diploma work on the staging of "Tartuffe" by Molière, in the Tula State Dramatic Theater.
