Vava Mario Yagalo (born 21 April 1993) is an Indonesian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Liga 1 club Persik Kediri.

2008

Vava represented Indonesia at the 2008 AFC U-16 Championship.

He scored his first goal against Syria on 4 October 2008.

Vava was named after two Brazilian football legends, Vavá and Mário Zagallo, despite being a devout Muslim.

He studied law at the University of Kediri.

2014

On 1 December 2014, Vava signed a year contract with Persija Jakarta.

2015

He made his league debut on 4 April 2015 in a 4–4 draw against Arema.

In 2015 season, he only played 2 times and without scoring, and he contributed with 13 league appearances during with Persija Jakarta in the unofficial tournament 2016 Indonesia Soccer Championship A.

2016

On 22 January 2019, Persija's Chief operating officer reveals that Vava decided to leave the club, he became the 12th player to leave the club.

He contributed with 34 appearances, and one goal during with Persija Jakarta for three years in Liga 1 and he successfully brought his club to the title for the second time in Liga Indonesia era.

In 2019, Vava signed for TIRA-Persikabo.

He made his debut on 18 May 2019 against Badak Lampung at the Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong.

Throughout the 2019 season, he is trusted to appear regularly as a versatile player for 22 appearances.

2020

After a 10-year career outside his hometown, he officially joined and signed a contract with Persik Kediri in February 2020.

He made his league debut on 29 February 2020 against Persebaya Surabaya at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya.

Vava only played 2 times for the club because the league was officially discontinued due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vava made his comeback and started his Liga 1 appearance of the season on 27 August 2021, coming on as an starter in a 0–1 lost against Bali United.
