Timeline
Joshua Michael Tomar, often referred to as Tomar, is a Jewish-American voice actor, systems engineer, co-owner of Studio Yotta, and Oneyplays regular.
Tomar is known for his beard, polite manner, the severity of the comedic allegations laid against him, and his distinctive gruff voice.
Joshua Tomar was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 8th, 1986.
He attended the University of Florida from 2004 to 2009, during which he spent time studying abroad in Japan.
He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in information systems and operations management.
He is the recipient of the 2009 Newgrounds Member of the Year Tanky Award.
He met animator Christina "Jaxxy" Harrow in 2009, and they married on December 27th, 2012.
They have a daughter, Maya.
Tomar, leveraging his relevant degrees and work experience in the field of technical administration, was brought into Studio Yotta as a co-owner in early 2016, where he oversees operations and technology.
During his tenure at the studio, it has worked on several noteworthy projects, such as: Vampire Survivors, Neon White, Full Throttle Remastered, Smiling Friends, Rick and Morty, Seth Rogen's Hilarity for Charity, and a Run The Jewels music video.
First appearing on the popular and influential Oneyplays channel in 2018, Tomar has become a mainstay on the channel.
He will sometimes handle gameplay or add gravitas through narrating written sections of a game.
He often facilitates a comedic dynamic in videos by having a contrast drawn between his mild-mannered personality and likely false and wild allegations levied against him by other members of the video, depicting him as a primeval force of violence and fury.
Tomar has engaged in many voice acting projects across media, particularly in animated works, such as anime and web animations, as well as voicing characters in videogames.
In the beginning stage of his voice acting career he was aided by several friendly acquaintances he'd made in the industry, including Cristina Vee, Lucien Dodge, Xander Mobus, and Michael Johnston.
