Totie and George had 2 daughters, Jody Fields Johnston born in 1952 and Debbie Fields born in 1955.

1968

She was an actress, known for That's Life (1968), Medical Center (1969) and Laugh-In (1967). She was married to George William Johnston.

1976

Developed a blood clot in her left leg in April of 1976. Attempts to remove the clot failed and her left leg was amputated, above the knee.

1978

Her problems with blood clots led to her death on Aug. 2, 1978 from pulmonary embolism.

1990

Her cremated remains were temporarily interred in Las Vegas until the death of her husband in the 1990's; when both were interred together in Los Angeles.
