Skylar Deleon was born on August 12, 1979 in Sun Valley, California, USA as John Julius Jacobson Jr.

2008

In 2008, DeLeon was put on trial for the 2004 first degree murder of Tom and Jackie Hawks. According to the prosecution, DeLeon and his accomplices, including his then-wife Jennifer Henderson (who is already serving two back-to-back life sentences), pretended to be interested in buying a yacht belonging to the Hawks. He convinced them to go out to sea for a test cruise and forced them to sign the ownership documents in his name, before tying them to the anchor and throwing them overboard while still alive. He was convicted on three counts of first-degree murder, (one charge stemmed from another case) and special circumstances for financial gain and multiple victims on October 20, 2008, and could face the death penalty. The penalty phase began October 22, 2008.

2009

Sentenced to the death penalty on April 14, 2009, for the murders of Tom and Jackie Hawks. Also convicted of murdering Jon Jarvi of Anaheim, California, who was found in a shallow grave in Mexico with his throat slit in 2003.
