1941

The son of a car dealer, the British actor Simon Ward was born in London, England, in 1941, and educated there at Alleyn's School, the home of the National Youth Theatre, which he joined at age 13 and stayed with for eight years. After attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he worked in repertory in Northampton, Birmingham and Oxford, and occasionally in London's West End.

1967

His big break in theater came in 1967 when he played in Joe Orton's "Loot" which led to a number of small film and television roles.

1968

Had an uncredited role as a "schoolboy" in the film "If....", released in 1968, the year of Ward's 27th birthday.

1972

He played Winston Churchill in both Young Winston (1972) and Kurtulus (1994).

1980

In the late 1980s, Ward was a victim of a street attack that was never solved and baffled the police.

1981

In 1981 he was due to make a film called The Bomber but it was canceled the day filming was due to start.

1985

He was considered for the roles of Colonel Colin Caine, Dr. Armstrong, Roger Derebridge and Dr. Bukovsky in Lifeforce (1985).
