Simon Geoffrey Feilder (born December 28, 1977) is a British comedian, actor, voice artist and content creator.
After springing to fame as a weather presenter and VT reporter on The Big Breakfast, he voiced several award-winning kids' TV shows such as Jim Jam & Sunny and the UK version of Yo Gabba Gabba before embarking on a career in stand-up and improv which led to him being cast at Amsterdam's feted Boom Chicago comedy theatre.
He has appeared in numerous British & Dutch TV shows and movies and in 2023 he relocated to Mumbai where he continues to perform onscreen.
Simon Geoffrey Feilder was born on December 28, 1977 in Portsmouth, Hampshire and attended Portsmouth Grammar School from 1986 to 1996.
While at school he studied acting via the London Academy Of Music And Dramatic Arts, eventually being awarded a gold medal (with honours) in acting.
He then studied Media Studies at the University Of Sunderland where he gained a 2:1 BA Hons degree.
During this time he took a semester abroad at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana where he was cast in the campus improv troupe Absolunacy.
In 2001 while living in Newcastle, Simon entered a talent contest on Channel 4's The Big Breakfast called 'Find Me A Weather Presenter' which he eventually won and became the face of breakfast TV meteorology He swiftly graduated to fronting his own strand entitled Feilder's Dreams where, among other things, he interviewed bands such as Aerosmith & The Offspring, shared a stage with black metal gods Cradle of Filth and featured in an episode of Friends.
From 2006 to 2008 he voiced the character Nobby in Wish Films childrens' TV show Jim Jam & Sunny alongside Justin Fletcher and Bob Golding.
Following that he voiced the characters of Plex and Broby in the UK dub of award-winning show Yo Gabba Gabba
In his nascent years as a stand-up comedian, Simon was a finalist in The Laughing Horse New Act of the Year, Amused Moose Comedy Awards and a Semi-Finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards.
In 2010 Simon and Sy Thomas also appeared at the inaugural Hollywood Fringe festival as part of 'The British Invasion' where they were awarded Best Comedy
In 2014 Simon was the co-host of the Ellie Taylor Show on Fubar Radio.
He would later support Taylor on several of her solo stand-up tours.
Re-united with Sy Thomas, in 2016-2017 the pair produced a series of comedy videos for kids' comic The Beano, under the banner of 'Simon & Simon's Guide To...'
In 2018 he wrote and acted in the short film 'Renaissance', which was directed by Ben Mallaby and selected for Encounters Film Festival and the Harlem Hip-Hop Film Festival among others.
Simon studied long-form improv at Monkey Toast and The Free Association in London where he was a founding member of house Harold team Super Discount Party Store.
He performed regularly at Comedians' Cinema Club in London, Brighton & the Edinburgh Fringe.
In 2018 Simon joined the cast of Amsterdam's "Influential American Comedy Factory" Boom Chicago where he created and performed in numerous improv, sketch and musical shows, shared stages with Brendan Hunt, Arjen Lubach, Jason Sudeikis and the mayor of Amsterdam Famke Halseme
In 2021 Simon started a podcast dedicated to his life-long love of (DTV) action movies called Dodge This where he and comedian friend Matthew Highton would talk about international and niche action movies.
In later episodes Simon is joined by other comedians and film-makers and occasionally interviews up-and-coming action directors such as James Nunn and Will Gilbey.
2022 also saw Simon feature in the Dutch nostalgic reboot movie Costa! as the host of the movie's centre-piece Battle Of The Bars.
In August 2023 Simon relocated to Mumbai, India and appeared in 'Race To The Final' for booking.com and a series of ads for MG Motors.
