As a redshirt freshman in 2006, he collected 33 tackles (2.5 for loss) and one sack.
As a sophomore in 2007, he suffered a torn shoulder labrum and started 10-of-11 games at defensive tackle.
He recorded 43 tackles (4 for loss), 2 sacks and one interception.
