Evans was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace.

He was born in Calverton, Nottinghamshire.

1985

Evans made his List A debut for Nottinghamshire against Hampshire in the 1985 John Player Special League.

1987

He made his first-class debut for Nottinghamshire against the touring Pakistanis in 1987.

He made 5 further first-class appearances for Nottinghamshire, the last of which came against Cambridge University.
