Robert B. Dorigo Jones (born July 27, 1963 in Grand Rapids, Michigan) is the author of the bestselling book Remove Child Before Folding: The 101 Stupidest, Silliest and Wackiest Warning Labels Ever and host of the weekly radio commentary series "Let's Be Fair". [3] He is a Senior Fellow at the Center for America and served as president of the non-partisan legal reform group Michigan Lawsuit Abuse Watch (M-LAW) from 1997 to 2013.

1965

Dorigo Jones was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His family moved to Cadillac, Michigan in 1965, and he graduated from Cadillac High School in 1981. He excelled in track and was the champion of the 440 yard dash in a regional meet sponsored by the Cadillac Evening News in 1980.

1985

In 1985, Dorigo Jones graduated from James Madison College at Michigan State University and went to work as a speechwriter for Wayne County Executive and future Michigan gubernatorial candidate, William Lucas. Following that, Dorigo Jones worked on the staff of the Speaker of the Michigan State House of Representatives, Paul Hillegonds.

1997

In 1997, Dorigo Jones launched M-LAW’s annual Wacky Warning Label Contest. Since 1998, results of the Wacky Warning Label Contest have been reported in media outlets around the world. 2007

His first book, Remove Child Before Folding, was published in January, 2007 by Warner Books, Inc. and has appeared on several bestseller lists including Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com. He currently offers his views on the plaintiff lawyers, judges, outrageous lawsuits, and the American civil justice system on [4].

In September, 2007, Dorigo Jones was selected as the runner-up winner in the inaugural season of the "Ultimate Performer Leadership Challenge", a televised reality show competition designed to discover the most influential personalities in individual cities across the nation. Dorigo Jones was one of twelve finalists chosen by program creator, Envision U, from hundreds of applicants to compete in specific tasks aimed at showcasing their ability to lead and influence others. The tasks included: fire fighting, a singing competition, negotiating a hostage situation, a personal makeover and participating in a number of sales related tests.

2019

A report on M-LAW’s wacky warning labels by ABC television’s news magazine, 20/20, was filmed in the World Trade Center in August, 2001 and is believed to be the last story filmed for national broadcast in the World Trade Center before the September 11 attacks. .
