Timeline

2001

From low budget horror films to mega-budgeted adventure films; he has produced a solid body of work. From managing a multi-national financial service company to overseeing operations for a NASDAQ listed e-commerce company (with brick and mortar, too), to operating his own property-development company, Mr. DiMilia enjoys meeting a challenge. His first independent feature, He Knows You're Alone, was a tongue and cheek horror film picked up for distribution by MGM for a record $2. 5 million, the highest amount of money ever advanced (up to that time) for an independent film. The film was also Tom Hank's acting debut, playing the role of a young pick-up artist. Other films include the Academy Award winning film Tender Mercies starring Tess Harper, Robert Duvall and Ellen Barkin for ITC/Universal Pictures and the William Friedkin developed film, The Killing Hour for 20th Century Fox, the ITC adventure film starring Omar Sharif, Ryan O'Neal and Ann Archer, Green Ice. In addition, Mr. DiMilia supervised the making of several prestigious independent films including Joe Vasquez's Bronx War, and the Sundance Institute winners, Chameleon Street and The Kiss-Off. Mr. DiMilia has been involved in the production of over thirty feature films. Beside from his independent feature film production activities, his Producer's Marketing Group distributed feature films, television/cable programming and specialty products on an international basis, helping to foster the careers of such famous film directors as Martin Scorcese (The Aviator, Goodfellas), Sam Raimi (Spiderman, Darkman), John Sayles (Lone Star, The Howling), Maggie Greenwald (The Kill-Off) and others. As President and CEO of S R P, Inc. , a land development and real estate management company located on Staten Island, completed the first phase of an entertainment complex at the Staten Island Homeport which would have seen production sound stages for film and broadcast TV, a world-class marina, a suite hotel and other destination/entertainment attractions. In 2001, Mr. DiMilia stepped down as Vice President/Secretary/Director of the multi-national NASDAQ-listed Shopnet. Com, Inc. , a vertically integrated conglomerate involved in children's sportswear manufacturing and wholesaling, feature film production and toy retailing with 39 stores nationally, an animation facility in France, 2 B2B, 4 B2C websites nationally and one B2C website internationally, and the first e-toy retailer in Europe.
