She had three half brothers from his father first marriage; Nashruddin (1934–1999), a civil servant Azra'ie (1947–2019), a lecturer, and Syakrani Zakaria (b. 1952), a harbormaster, and four half sisters; Aminah (1938–2011), a school principal, Zaharah (1942–2007), a politician, Ulfah (b. 1943), a gynecologist, and Hanim Zakaria (b. 1950), a teacher.
Her brothers were Zulkarnain (b. 1957) and Nukman (b. 1960), both of them are civil servant, and Gamal Abdul Nasir Zakaria (b. 1965), a lecturer.
While her sisters were Rinie Yuslina Fairuz (1964–2021), a civil servant, Nida Suryani (b. 1971), a science teacher, and Sri Purnama Zakaria (b. 1973), an English teacher.
Rita Puspa Zakaria (born 20 November 1967), also known as Rita Puspita, is an Indonesian civil servant, lecturer, and teacher who served as head of the Health Services Division at the Bengkalis Health Service, Vice Director of the Bengkalis Regional General Hospital, and Fourth Deputy Chairman of Empowerment of Family Welfare in Bengkalis Regency.
She is the daughter of ulama Zakaria bin Muhammad Amin and actress Siti Zainab, and is the sister of politician Nukman and educator Gamal Abdul Nasir Zakaria, and is known for advocating a program to reduce a maternal mortality rate in Bengkalis.
Born as the fifth child, Zakaria went to University of Indonesia and came out as the best graduate.
She began to teach at MDTA Mahbatul Ulum, an Islamic school founded by her father, and later earned her master degree from IPB University.
Zakaria was born on 20 November 1967 in Bengkalis, Riau, as the fifth child and second daughter of the seven children of Zakaria bin Muhammad Amin (1913–2006), an ulama, and his second wife, Siti Zainab binti Kimpal (1935–2014), an actress.

She worked as a fourth grade teacher at MDTA Mahbatul Ulum, an Islamic school founded by his father.
She is married to Muhammad Yahman, a preacher, in Bengkalis on 28 January 2003.
Their marriage is celebrated with the pencak silat tradition and was covered by Riau Pos in February 2005.

Zakaria served as head of the Health Services Division at the Bengkalis Health Service in 2013 where she held Adolescent Care Health Services (literally Pelayanan Kesehatan Peduli Remaja, abbreviated as PKPR) from 5 until 7 September, and advocated for the importance of health services for adolescents, especially their psychological conditions.
In 2014, Zakaria became a lecturer at STAIN Bengkalis.
On 1 October, she provided an exclusive breast milk program to help around 1090 infant who suffered from malnutrition, and was be able to fix the problem six months after.
In 2015, when the maternal mortality rate was high in Bantan District, Zakaria created a team to provided counseling and advocated for midwives in the area to improve coordination between patients and health facilities.
On 26 June, she developed the concept of green energy-based health centers in Riau and focused on implementing this concept so that health centers in the province could be the best and easily accessible to the population, especially in areas that still lack health personnel facilities.
On 3 November 2018, Zakaria saved a baby boy named Danish which was threw away by his parents in a cardboard box on the terrace of a resident's house and then gave him for adoption to a married couple from Pekanbaru.
On 23 July 2019, she signed a collaboration contract with Muhammadiyah University of Riau to establish a medical faculty on the campus, which is a form of collaboration with Bengkalis Regional Hospital.
The signing of the collaboration was accompanied by Ersan Saputra who serves as Director of Bengkalis Regional Hospital.
In 2020, when Zakaria served as Vice Director of the Bengkalis Regional General Hospital, she help five Thailand and British foreigners who was swept away from their yacht and stranded at Tanjung Mayat Beach in Bengkalis District, and provide them with a medical check-up and observation by created quick reaction team in order to anticipated them from being contracted with the coronavirus infection.
She served as fourth deputy chairman of Empowerment of Family Welfare (literally Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga, abbreviated as PKK) in Bengkalis Regency from 2021 until 2026 after being appointed on 13 April 2021 by Bengkalis Regent, Kasmarni, and holding activities to reduce stunting levels together with the Governor of Riau, Syamsuar, on 16 November 2022.
On 29 September, Zakaria along with Andris Wasono launched BPJS Health information service at RSUD Bengkalis as the selected hospital in Riau to implement the program.
