Karki was born in 1987 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Her parents are economist Bhupendra Karki and flight attendant Raksha Malhotra.
Priyanka Karki is a Nepalese film actress, model, director, writer and the winner of the Miss Teen Nepal 2005 pageant.
Karki was first cast as a child actor in the movie Mahadevi where she played the daughter of Sunil Thapa.
When Karki was in grade seven she started working with Santosh Panta in the then famous series Hijo Aaja Ka Kura.
In 2005, she was crowned Miss Teen Nepal and that same year she started her career in modeling and television.
After her 2005 win as Miss Teen Nepal, Karki moved to the United States to continue her education.
At the University of North Alabama, she majored in Film and Digital Media Production with a minor in Theatre and graduated summa cum laude.
Karki appeared in Bhulne Po Ho Ki, a small movie project in the USA.
The first debut of Karki as an adult was in "3 Lovers" in 2012, where she had played double role.
Later Karki was nominated for this role in OFA Award for Popular Debutant and even won the title.
She later played a prostitute in Jholay, opposite Dayahang Rai.
Jholay grossed over 10 million at the box office.
