1960

He competed at the 1960 and 1964 Summer Olympics in five events in total.

He finished in fourth place three times: twice in the 1000 m time trial (1960 and 1964) and once in the 2000 m tandem sprint.

1965

He was also an accomplished road cyclist and in 1965 won a six-day road race in Melbourne.
