Paul Burmeister (born March 10, 1971) Paul Burmeister is an American sportscaster with NBC Sports and NBC Olympics, working primarily as a play-by-play voice and studio host across a wide range of platforms.
Burmeister was an all-state quarterback in 1988 and named Mississippi Valley Conference Player of the Year at Iowa City West High School.
He was also a 3-year letterman and all-conference performer in basketball and baseball, graduating as the school's all-time leading scorer in basketball.
He also played quarterback at Iowa for Hayden Fry from 1989-1993.
A 1989 graduate of Iowa City West High School, Burmeister was voted Mississippi Valley Conference Player of the Year in football and All State as a Senior.
