1961

He made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins in 1961. He was an all-star defenseman who played for the Chicago Blackhawks from 1965 to 1973. He was team captain during the 1969-1970 season, and helped the Hawks to the Stanley Cup finals in 1971 and 1973 (losing both times to the Montreal Canadiens).

2005

He played 635 NHL games, with 43 goals and 294 assists. He was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
