With his first wife, had an act in vaudeville "Norman Taylor, Ida Howard and 'Them'", "them" being what was described in a review as "a collection of strange animals from all parts of the world." Despite the presence of the menagerie, "it is not an animal act, and that is why it [the act] is different." ([Decatur, Ill.]"Evening Herald," 29 February 1928, 3).
