He is 1.99 m in height.

Moon played college basketball at the University of Richmond, with the Richmond Spiders, from 1994–1998 and he was named Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year in 1998.

He led the Richmond Spiders to an upset of the #3 seeded South Carolina Gamecocks in the NCAA tournament the same year.
