Max William Schrock (born October 12, 1994) is an American professional baseball second baseman who is a free agent.

He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds.

Schrock attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, North Carolina.

2012

He was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 28th round of the 2012 MLB draft.

He did not sign with the Diamondbacks and attended the University of South Carolina, where he played college baseball.

2013

In 2013, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

2015

After his junior year, he was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 13th round of the 2015 MLB draft and signed.

Schrock made his professional debut with the Auburn Doubledays in 2015 and spent the whole season there, posting a .308 batting average with two home runs and 14 RBIs in 46 games.

2016

He started 2016 with the Hagerstown Suns and was promoted to the Potomac Nationals in June.

On August 25, the Nationals traded Schrock to the Oakland Athletics for Marc Rzepczynski.
