Linda Edna Cardellini was born on June 25, 1975, in Redwood City, California.

Her father, Wayne David Cardellini, is a businessman and her mother, Lorraine (Hernan), is a homemaker.

She is the youngest of four children.

Cardellini is of Italian, Irish, German, and Scottish descent.

Cardellini made her first public appearance at age 10 when she sang in a school play.
