On March 21, 2013, he opted to attend Stanford's pro day, along with 12 other teammates.

He performed the majority of drills, but was only able to have better measurements and times in the bench press (19 reps), vertical jump (33+1/2 in), and broad jump (9 ft).

He was ranked the eighth best tight end prospect in the draft by NFLDraftScout.com.

The Atlanta Falcons selected Toilolo in the fourth round with the 133rd overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

He was the second tight end selected from Stanford in 2013, behind former teammate Zach Ertz who was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round (35th overall).
