Julie Klausner (born July 3, 1978) is an American writer, comedian, actress, and podcaster.

1989

In 1989, when Klausner was 11 years old, she attended Camp Scatico and was one of the campers who were randomly chosen to appear in the background of a segment of the special Camp MTV.

As an adult, Klausner was the creator, writer, and co-star of the Hulu sitcom Difficult People, which also starred comedian Billy Eichner.

2010

Klausner's first book, I Don't Care About Your Band, was released in February 2010 by Gotham/Penguin Books.

In July 2010, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's production company Gary Sanchez Productions optioned the book for HBO.

Lizzy Caplan was attached to star and co-produce.

In 2010 Klausner was part of a comedy duo act along with actor Sue Galloway called "Free to Be (You and Me)".

In March 2020, Klausner joined the writing staff of Amazon Prime Video's revival of the sketch comedy show Kids in the Hall.

She is also a writer on the Apple TV+ musical comedy series Schmigadoon! which stars Cecily Strong.

In 2021 she lent her voice to a gargoyle in a season three episode of What We Do in the Shadows, alongside “Difficult People” co-star Cole Escola.
