Josh Habka

Josh Habka (born May 16, 2004) is an American biohacker and science communicator.

He is the chief executive officer of Astrochain, a company creating blockchain applications and research for astronomy, and founder of the International Biohacking Community, an international digital group focused on biohacking research and discussion.

Habka is a student at the Florida Institute of Technology studying a Bachelor of Science in astrophysics and a Master of Science in commercial enterprise in space.

Habka self-identifies as a biohacker and founded the "International Biohacking Community", a digital community of biohackers and transhumanists that communicate and share research on human health, life extension, and body-hacking.

He is a member of the Alcor Life Extension Foundation, a cryonics organization which has the goal of extending the human lifespan through preserving a metabolic state in liquid nitrogen for an extended duration.

Habka has published blog-post articles in the fields of astronomy and astrobiology since October 2022 on his personal website.

Under the username joshtospace, He creates science content on social media platforms with a medium-sized audience across social media platforms, primarily on Instagram.

In September 2023, Habka became a scientist-astronaut candidate through the "PoSSUM Advanced Space Academy", an astronautics training program by the International institute for Astronautical Sciences.

Habka contributed to a paper from an experience he was involved with titled "Life On Mars", an experience hosted by the Space Foundation which took place from January 26–28, 2024.

Habka founded Astrochain, a company which creates blockchain applications in astronomy and science education, on January 5, 2024.

In March 2024, Astrochain had 6 employees.
