Met Si Wills in 1931 and joined his vaudeville act, billed as 'Wills and Davis'.

1941

Signed a radio contract for $1,000,000 per year for four years with the United Drug Co in 1941. This enabled her to set up her own production company in the 1950's.

1952

Widely popular comedienne appeared in some movies and on radio in the 40s and on early television. She starred in the popular television series, I Married Joan (1952), with Jim Backus as her husband and her real-life daughter, Beverly Wills as her sister.

1963

Her mother, daughter Beverly Wills and two grandsons died in a fire in October of 1963.
