1987

Jim Wedaa, originally from Yorba Linda, California, attended film school at UCLA and graduated in 1987. Beginning his career in the Story Department at Weintraub Entertainment Group, Jim soon joined Hollywood Pictures, a division of the Walt Disney Company. While at Disney, Jim oversaw the production of nearly a dozen films including The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Dangerous Minds, Bound by Honor, Camp Nowhere and The Puppet Masters, among others.

1994

Leaving in 1994 to form his own production company, Jim was notable for once setting up fifteen projects in 18 months, three of which were produced: Black Dog, Red Team and Unstoppable.

1996

Joining the Jacobson Company in 1996 as Head of Production, Jim co-produced Brian DePalma's Mission to Mars and executive produced the Barry Sonnenfeld comedy, Big Trouble.

1998

Named by Fade In Magazine as one of the "100 People Everybody in Hollywood Needs to Know" in 1998.

1999

In 1999 was named as one of the Hollywood Reporter's "Next Generation" of Film Industry Executives Who Represent the Future of the Film Industry.

2003
