At the US Open, she defeated Andrea Petkovic in the first, 23rd seed Barbora Strýcová in the second, and Monica Niculescu in the third round.

Facing top-seeded Karolína Plíšková in the fourth round, Brady was beaten in straight sets.

Brady had more success in doubles than singles.

In January, she reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open with Vania King.

She won her first WTA singles title at the Top Seed Open in Lexington, Kentucky, where she defeated Jil Teichmann in straight sets.

She progressed to her first Grand Slam semifinal at the 2020 US Open, defeating former world No. 1, Angelique Kerber, en route.
