Born in 1968 in Warsaw. Former guitarist and bassist in rock formations in Switzerland, where he lived for 15 years. Pantomime and acting schools in Zurich, language schools in France and Australia.

1978

Brought up in Aargau, Switzerland where he lived between 1978 and 1992. Studied at the Krzysztof Kieslowski school at Lodz, Poland (graduated 1996).

1996

He graduated in 1996 from the film directing department at the Film School in Lodz (PWSFTViT) under the artistic supervision of Krzysztof Kieslowski.

2004

Winner of many awards at international film festivals, including at the 61st Venice Film Festival in 2004 for the Swiss-Belgian debut feature "Tout un hiver sans feu" (All Winter Without Fire), which was also the Swiss candidate for the Oscar in 2005.

2008

Director and co-creator of the multi-award-winning television series "Londynczycy" (The Londoners) in 2008/9, as well as the well-received crime series "Paradoks" in 2012 and "The Crime" (Zbrodnia) in 2014, first TV production for AXN (Sony Pictures) in Central Europe.

2011

His second feature film "Courage" (Wymyk) was produced in Poland in 2011 and won several main awards at Film Festivals incl. Vilnius, Gdynia and Warsaw.

2015

In 2015 he directed in Switzerland the TV feature film "Le temps d'Anna" (Anna's Time), shown with great success on TSR and ARTE.
