In 1932, Gisela became a member of the Nazi party.

1934

In the 1934 Women's World Games in London, she won gold in shot put and pentathlon, and silver in discus.

1936

She won the gold medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics held in Berlin, Germany.

1952

During the 1952 Olympics in Helshinki, Finland, she was a supervisor for West Germany's women Olympic team.
