Timeline
George Keller is a Danish / Norwegian composer, producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, graduated from Trondheim Conservatory of Music, Norway. After completing his studies, Keller landed a recording deal with CBS Records (Sony), and his highly acclaimed debut album "Just Like Standin' Up" was released in 1973.
Unaware at this time that film music would come to have a significant role in his later career, Keller created music for three Norwegian feature films; "The Witches From The Petrified Forest" (1975), "Junior Heads" (1980) and "Hockey Fever" (1983).
A year later, his second album "Colors" went straight into the European Chart of best selling albums, and his third album "Let's Move Together" was released worldwide by Hansa Ariola and the New York label Private Stock Records in 1976.
In 1981 Keller received the Norwegian Grammy Award "Spellemannsprisen", and both Anita Skorgan and Trond Granlund have received Grammy Awards for albums produced by Keller.
His fourth album "Resten kan du tenke deg" (You can guess the rest) was released by EMI in 1984. While still pursuing his own busy solo career, Keller began writing and producing songs for other artists, and soon he became one of the most in-demand songwriters, session-musicians, and producers in the Norwegian / Swedish music industry, working with major artists such as Björn Skifs, Jahn Teigen, Ole Paus, Anita Skorgan, Tommy Körberg, Trond Viggo Torgersen, Zoo, Trond Granlund, Lava, among many others.
In 1985, Keller relocated to Copenhagen, Denmark, to manage the local A&R department of EMI Records.
At the same time he began writing music for Danish documentaries, TV shows and commercials, and in 1997 he scored his first international feature film, the award winning "A Corner of Paradise", starring Penelopé Cruz, John Savage and Miguel Sandoval. Later same year he scored the highly acclaimed horror-comedy short film "Mothers In Arms " (Mor(d) i Mødregruppen), and the Swedish feature comedy "Reine och Mimmi I Fjällen". The following year Keller scored the award winning blockbuster action-comedy "In China They Eat Dogs" (I Kina spiser de Hunde), followed by the feature children's film "Jolly Roger", the documentary "The Mystery of Flying Enterprise" for National Geographic, and another blockbuster feature action-comedy "Old Men in New Cars" (Gamle Mænd I Nye Biler).
