Started the opening game of his rookie season (1961) with the Minnesota Vikings and tossed four touchdown passes in a 37-13 win against the Chicago Bears.

1970

Former NFL pro-bowl quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings renowned for his "scrambling" ability. Hall of Fame NFL Quarterback with the Minnesota Vikings ('61-'66, '72-'78) and the New York Giants ('67-'71). Played in three Super Bowls with the Vikings and was a broadcaster for NFL Monday Night Football (1970). An astute business man, he has made a fortune in the private sector.
