She was an actress, known for Tilly of Bloomsbury (1940), Hate in Paradise (1938) and Doctor 'My Book' (1938). She was married to Ralph Edwards.

1985

Under her birth name of Marjorie Preece, she emigrated to the United States after World War II where she married a Colonel in the United States Army who later became an executive for AT&T. She was involved in a number of social and cultural activities including serving as an Girl Scout leader and officer; as a member of the Daughters of the English Empire where she held a number of high offices, and as a member of the English Speaking Union. She received an MBE from Queen Elizabeth II in 1985 for her charitable work and her efforts in promoting American-British relations. She was survived by a daughter and grandchildren.
