Dyan Cannon

Cary Grant first saw her on a television series in 1961, when she was already a 24-year-old television veteran. They started living together in 1963.

Was extremely nervous about doing the famous bedroom scene in Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969). She claimed all four participants were a wreck. Elliott Gould busily stuffed food in his mouth; Robert Culp talked a mile a minute and Natalie Wood would not even come out of her trailer at first.

In the early 1970s, Paramount had plans that were unrealized to remake Double Indemnity (1944) with Cannon in the Barbara Stanwyck role. Ultimately, the project was downgraded to a television movie and when Cannon was not available, Samantha Eggar was hired for the role.

Was considered for the Ann-Margret role in Carnal Knowledge (1971).

Was considered for the Ali MacGraw role in The Getaway (1972).

She was named Female Star of the Year by the Hollywood Women's Press Club (1979).

Learned how to drive a 13-gear 30-ton semi-trailer diesel truck for the comedy-drama film Coast to Coast (1980).

She was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6608 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California on June 22, 1983.

Second husband, Stanley Fimberg was a real estate mogul who executive produced her movie End of Innocence (1990).

Has two grandchildren: Cary Benjamin Grant (born August 12, 2008) and Davian Adele Grant (born November 23, 2011).

In 2016, five years after its original publication, her book "Dear Cary" (2011) climbed back onto the New York Times Bestseller List without Dyan doing anything to promote the book.
