Timeline
Dan Evans was just 12 years old when he created his first stop motion animation. By using cardboard sets, action figures and voicing every character himself, Dan successfully made his short films. At the age of 17, he created his first short film with his friends entitled "Last Night". This was done as part of a 48 Hour Movie Challenge 2005.
He has also took part in the 48 Hour Movie Challenge 2006, where he created a Comedy entitled "Pinned Down". This film won Best Comedy and Rudest Moment! Since, Dan has made a variety of films of different genre's to show his flexibility and not generating one particular style. Dan's breakthrough came when he announced the making of a Star Wars FanFilm. After 3 years in the making, Dan finally finished this as part of a college project.
The film was shown at ODEON Cinemas, Dudley on 12th November 2006. Over 70 people attended. Due to the film's popularity, it has attracted the news team of Express & Star and they published a large article. Because of this article, Dan was contacted by Kevin Powis of Last Independent with an offer to use Kevin's green screen and studio hiring with full use of equipment. Dan took up this opportunity and since, has been in frequent contact with Kevin.
Kevin then offered Dan a job as a Production Assistant on his short film "Expresso" which was shot January 2007 and featured Sir Norman Wisdom, Geoffrey Hughes and a host of other named actors. At the age of 19, Dan has completed his first 'real' film entitled "Reminiscence". This has been entered into various Film Festivals across the globe including Birmingham's Cinem@tic Film Festival and BBC TWO's Blast Film Festival.
Following these films, Dan worked as a Video Journalist for a UK based company before setting up his own production company almost a year later in 2009. Dan has worked with reputable companies around the UK producing corporate DVD's, filmmaking services, visual effects and offers a range of marketing and I. T solutions in collaboration with Sfera-UK and Hands I. T Solutions.
