Christopher Cain was born on October 29, 1943 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA as Bruce Doggett.

1965

Chris was a performer with "The Los Angeles Youth Theater" in Hollywood in 1965, 1966. He worked closely with Director Gerald Gordon on many of their productions. Christopher starred in the production of "The Fantasticks," which is still (2017) the longest running musical in the history of Los Angeles Theater. He performed at both the Le Grande Comedy Theater on Cahuenga Blvd, (The old Hollywood Canteen during WW II) and at the Hollywood Center Theater on Las Palmas Ave.

2005

Chris Cain attended the second annual HatcH audiovisual festival in Bozeman, Montana, in October 2005. HatcH is a film and arts festival, the mission of which is to provide mentorship, education, inspiration, and recognition to the next generation of creative innovators. Chris was there with his stepson Dean Cain, whose new independent movie Lost (2004) was spotlighted at the festival. Chris Cain has attended every HatcH festival to date, and was recently awarded the prestigious first annual HatcH Mentorship Award, presented by Huntley Ritter and Scott Duthie in October 2006.
