Christian Keiber was cast opposite Russell Crowe in the Sony Pictures film No Way Back (1995) and was recently featured on the Emmy Awards for his role in Orange Is the New Black (2013) with Emmy nominated Laverne Cox directed by Jodie Foster. Christian Keiber began his acting career as a young boy in both theater and television productions throughout the New York area. After graduating from Tuxedo High School in New York, he decided to continue his training and received a theater scholarship to East Carolina University, where he was invited to study the four year intensive 'Meisner Technique' with famed professor Donald E. Biehn alongside Sandra Bullock and Kevin Williamson. Aside from winning the university's 'Best Actor Award', he also had the opportunity to add many summer stock and regional theater performances to his credit, including acting opposite his mentor, veteran character actor, Larry Gates, in the play 'Foxfire'. After graduating, Keiber returned to New York to pursue his acting.
