Fu Shiqi (born 17 May 1990) known professionally by his stage name Cheng Yi, is a Chinese actor and singer.
Cheng Yi was born on 17 May 1990, in Hunan and is a film and television actor in Mainland China.
He participated in many dramas and musicals during his school days, and accumulated rich experience in stage performances.
Before being admitted to the Central Academy of Drama, Cheng Yi studied vocal music at the Beijing Contemporary Music Academy.
He was a student of the Acting Department of the Central Academy of Drama in 2008.
In 2008, he passed the national art examination and successfully entered the performance department of the Central Academy of Drama.
He made his television debut in Chinese television drama Beauty World (2011) and graduated from Central Academy of Drama in 2012.
In 2016, he featured in the hit Chinese television drama, Noble Aspirations, which helped him garnered increased popularity in China.
He is also well known for his role Yu Sifeng in Love and Redemption and Ying Yuan in Immortal Samsara.
In 2017, Cheng Yi became a love ambassador for PETA’s adoption, and collaborated with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals in Asia (PETA) to shoot a public service advertisement calling for giving stray animals a chance to be loved.
