Carson Tanguilig (born July 31, 2003) is an American tennis player.
She plays college tennis for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
In 2023, she helped North Carolina win its first national championship and won the national doubles title with Fiona Crawley.
Tanguilig grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia.
She went to Johns Creek High School, where she went undefeated as a freshman in her only year of high school tennis.
In addition to competing at various national junior tennis events, she played basketball as a 5 ft starting guard in high school.
On the ITF Junior Circuit from 2016 to 2020, she won four doubles titles and reached a peak ranking of No. 507.
In her first year at North Carolina in 2021–2022, Tanguilig compiled a singles record and a doubles record, partnering mostly with Cameron Morra.
Tanguilig and Morra won a regional Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) tournament in the fall.
At the 2022 NCAA Championships, where she helped top-seeded North Carolina reach the team semifinals, she additionally reached the round of 16 in singles and doubles.
The pair reached the national No. 1 doubles ranking following a regional ITA win and a national runner-up finish in the fall of 2022.
In singles, she played mostly in North Carolina's No. 3 spot but was ranked as high as No. 7 nationally.
At the 2023 NCAA Championships, North Carolina won their first national team title.
Tanguilig beat North Carolina State's Amelia Rajecki in her singles match in the final, clinching the fourth point of her team's 4–1 victory.
She partnered with Elizabeth Scotty during the NCAA team competition but returned to play with Crawley in the national doubles event—which they won, beating teammates Scotty and Reese Brantmeier in the final.
Crawley played in a handful of ITF World Tour qualifying events beginning in 2017.
As NCAA champions, Tanguilig and Crawley were awarded a wildcard into the 2023 US Open doubles tournament.
