Broadcast games of the Americal League's philadelphia Athletics (1938-1954) and the National League's Philadelphia Phillies (19339-1949 and 1955-1975).

1975

After broadcasting mostly losing teams during his tenure with the Philadelphia Phillies and Athletics, retired following the 1975 season having never broadcast a postseason game. When the Phillies reached the playoffs in 1976, Saam was briefly brought out of retirement for the National League Championship Series, in which Philadelphia was swept by the Cincinnati Reds.
