Bialosky was born in Detroit, Michigan.
At the age of five his family moved back to the birthplace of his parents, Cleveland, Ohio.
There he grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, with his two older brothers.
In 1969, he moved to California with his now-divorced mother.
After high school, Bialosky put himself through college—first graduating from Los Angeles Valley College and then attending San Diego State University where he graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
Bialosky started his career at Peat Marwick, Mitchell & Co. in 1976.
He obtained his CPA license in 1978.
At the end of 1979, he moved to Reno, Nevada, to become Chief Financial Officer for his brothers’ auto parts chain – Parts World.
The chain was sold thereafter and Bialosky stayed on to run the chain for the new owners along with one of his brothers.
Upon arrival in Reno, Nevada, in 1980 Bialosky involved himself in the election of Ronald Reagan for President.
In 1982 with their encouragement, Bialosky ran for state assembly in Reno, but lost in the primary.

In 1983, he returned to Los Angeles where he established a CPA practice emphasizing real estate and taxation.
He worked with Patty Cafferata (later State Treasurer of Nevada and Gubernatorial candidate in 1986) and her mother, Barbara Vucanovich (who was Senator Paul Laxalt’s chief of staff and later the first member of Congress from Northern Nevada).
In 1987, he obtained a real estate broker’s license.
He has maintained his practice in both areas since that time.
Bialosky reignited his political career in the 1990s as Treasurer of Valley VOTE, the movement to have the San Fernando Valley to separate from the City of Los Angeles.
In the 1990s, Bialosky started writing for the Los Angeles Daily News.
He also had columns published by the Los Angeles Times and the Houston Chronicle.
