Mar Andrews Thazhath (born 13 December 1951) is an Indian Catholic prelate and Archeparch of Thissur in the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church.

"He holds Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and Doctor’s Degree in Eastern Canon Law (DOCL) form the Pontifical Oriental Institute, Rome. He was nominated the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Trichur on 19 March 2004 when he was serving as the president of the Syro-Malabar Major Archiepiscopal Ordinary Tribunal of Ernakulam – Angamaly, the Syncellus of the Archeparchy, the Working Chairman and Managing Director of Jeevan Telecasting Corporation and the President of the Oriental Canon Law Society of India. He was ordained Bishop on the 1 May 2004...He was the Secretary General and President of the Kerala Catholic Bishop’s Council (KCBC) and the Chairman of the KCBC Education Commission. He was the First Vice President of the CBCI. Pope Francis appointed him in 2021 as one of the members of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts. The Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts is a dicastery of the Roman Curia, which interprets the laws of the Church.

Andrews Thazhath is a world-renowned expert in Oriental Code of Canon Law". He is the third and the present metropolitan archbishop of Syro-Malabar Catholic Archeparchy of Thrissur from 2007. He was nominated as the archbishop succeeding Mar Jacob Thoomkuzhy on 22 January 2007 and was installed to the office on 18 March 2007 by Cardinal Mar Varkey Vithayathil. He is the founder of Legion of Apostolic Families (LOAF), a lay pious association of consecrated families founded in 2009.

On 30 July 2022 in addition to his current duties archbishop Thazhath was appointed as an Apostolic Administrator sede plena of the Major Archeparchy of Ernakulam–Angamaly.

From 10 November 2022 he is the President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India

On 07 December 2023, "the Holy Father Francis has accepted the resignation from the office of Apostolic Administrator of the archeparchy of Ernakuam-Angamaly of the Syro-Malabars, India, presented by Archbishop Andrews Thazhath, metropolitan of Trichur of the Syro-Malabars".
