Yevgeny Mikhailovich Chigrin (Евгений Михайлович Чигрин; born September 16, 1961) is a Russian poet and essayist living in Moscow (since 2002).

Born in 1961 in the town of Mala Vyska.

He has published poems in the magazines “New World”, “Friendship of Peoples”, “Continent”, “Zvezda”, “Neva”, “Arion”, “Interpoetry”, “Bulletin of Europe”, “Yunost”, “Foreign Notes” (Germany), “Khreshchatyk” (Germany), “Day and Night”, “Southern Lights”, “Rubezh”, “New Poland”, “Ural”, “Baikal”, “Ring A” and in other literary magazines and almanacs, as well as in a number of prestigious European and Russian anthologies.

He is the author of Literaturnaya Gazeta.

Member of the PEN International.

2014

In 2014, a book of Chigrin's lyrics “Teamster” was published in Ukrainian translation.
