Alongside the can-can dancers, Boag was the comic star of the daily shows from 1955 to 1982 (minus a brief turn at Walt Disney World, and their "Diamond Horseshoe Revue").

He was an actor, known for The Absent Minded Professor (1961), The Love Bug (1968) and The Magical World of Disney (1954). He was married to Frances Ellen Morgan.
