In 2006, Cyrus co-wrote the song "Country Music Has the Blues" on Billy Ray's album Wanna Be Your Joe.
In early 2006, Cyrus started the pop-rock band Metro Station with Mason Musso, the brother of Hannah Montana cast member Mitchel.
