Roger A. Krone (born 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is the president and chief executive officer of the Boy Scouts of America.

He was previously CEO of Leidos.

An aerospace engineer, Krone worked for 45 years in the aerospace industry, holding senior program management and finance positions at Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, and General Dynamics.

A native of Cincinnati, Krone earned a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology where he also became interested in flying airplanes.

1973

Krone earned his Eagle Scout award in 1973.

In 2021, he was elected to the National Academy of Engineering for contributions in Aerospace and Electronics, Communication & Information Systems.

1978

Around 1978, Krone joined General Dynamics, where he worked as engineer, in program management, and later in finances.

1981

In 1981, Krone earned a master's degree in aerospace engineering from University of Texas at Arlington and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

1984

From 1984 to 1986, he went to Harvard Business School where he earned a degree of Master of business administration.

1992

In 1992, Krone joined McDonnell Douglas where he worked as director of financial planning and became vice president and treasurer of the company.

1997

When McDonnell Douglas merged with Boeing in 1997, Krone became a Boeing employee.

2008

In 2008 he became the president of Boeing's Network and Space Systems division, leading about 15,000 employees in 35 states.

2014

On July 14, 2014, Krone joined Leidos as chief executive officer.

In November 2023, Krone was selected to be president and CEO of the Boy Scouts of America.

He was the first leader appointed after the BSA agreed to pay $2.46 billion to settle claims by some 82,000 former Boy Scouts who said they had been sexually abused by BSA officials and volunteers.
