Richard Kadrey (born August 27, 1957) is an American novelist, freelance writer, and photographer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Kadrey has written nineteen novels, including fifteen New York Times Best Sellers.

Kadrey's other works include collaborative graphic novels and over 50 published short stories.

1980

It has been referred to in reviews as "one of the quintessential 1980s cyberpunk novels".

1988

Metrophage, first published in 1988, is a cyberpunk novel set in a dystopic future Los Angeles.

1990

Kadrey hosted a live interview show on HotWired in the 1990s called Covert Culture.

He was an editor at print magazines Shift and Future Sex, and at online magazines Signum and Stim.
