Ravi Atchuthan (born June 3, 1965) is a Canadian filmmaker, cinematographer, and editor.
In 1993, while studying at Ryerson University, Ravi Atchuthan made the short film Kutty Rajakkal with his classmates.
He emerged as one of the pioneers of the Tamil-Canadian film industry with the release of his first film Uyrie Uyrie in 1996.
Since then, he has directed 8 films and been the cinematographer for 12 films and the editor for 10 films.
In 2023, Ravi Atchuthan was awarded the Pioneer Canadian Tamil Filmmaker award by the multicultural organization 'Heritage Beyond Boarders' for his contributions in the Tamil-Canadian film industry.
Ravi Atchuthan has completed over 25 years in the Tamil-Canadian film industry.
Three years later, in 1996, he made his directorial debut Uyrie Uyrie.
In 1998, he was the cinematographer for the film Vasantha Gaanam.
In 2003, he directed his second film Kanavugal.
This film caught the attention of Swetha Cine Arts, a production house based in Canada, and they produced Ravi Atchuthan's third film, Methuvaga Unnai Thottu in 2004, which opened to critical and commercial success.

The film marks the first time Ravi Atchuthan didn't edit his own film, the editing was handled by AVM Studios in India.
During the production of Dawn to Dusk, Ravi Atchuthan began production on I Scream in 2015, a film he and his wife produced under the banner, Lucky Exclusive Studios.
I Scream marks the second collaboration between Ravi Atchuthan and AVM Studios.
The film had its press release in November 2016 and subsequently released in 2016 and can be streamed on YouTube.
In 2023, Ravi Atchuthan was the cinematographer for his son's first short film, Apoorva, which won two awards at the Toronto Tamil International Film Festival.
