Gadiot is best known for his role as James Valdez in the USA Network show Queen of the South and for his role as Shanks in Netflix's series One Piece.
He also played Cyrus in ABC's Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and Adam in Showtime’s Yellowjackets.
Additionally, Gadiot portrays Tom Westfall in the second season of NBC's Quantum Leap.
Peter Gadiot was born in England, raised in East Grinstead, West Sussex, and educated in London.
His father is Dutch, and his mother is Mexican.
He speaks both English and Spanish.
He has one older brother.
Gadiot is a citizen of the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
Gadiot trained classically at Drama Centre London and has appeared in numerous stage productions.
The show is a sequel to the 1989 to 1993 NBC drama of the same name, set 30 years later after Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished.
His past credits include MTV's Hot Mess, the British series My Spy Family (2010) and a British horror film 13Hrs (2010), also known by the name Night Wolf.
