Igbinoghene accepted a football scholarship from Auburn University, where he played from 2017 to 2019.
As a true freshman, he was a backup wide receiver, playing mostly on special teams.
He appeared in 14 games, tallying 6 receptions for 24 yards and 24 kickoff returns for 571 yards (23.8-yard avg.).
As a sophomore, he was converted into a cornerback during the spring.
