Nikolai Kurbatov - Russian video editor, poet, encyclopedist, polymath, the founder of trailer poetics and dialogue construction of trailers, author of over 26 thousand articles, over 1,800 poems, over 900 videos, over 300 verse reviews, over 200 slideshow, 25 playcasts, 24 film reviews, 15 musical compositions, 10 versions of logo, 6 wallpapers, 3 documentary films, 3 stories, 3 banners, 2 posters, singer of 9 songs, born on May 16, 1990 in Perm, Russia. A son of a Russian engineer Oleg Orlovsky and Lyudmila Nikolaevna Kurbatova - lecturer, Candidate of Sociological Sciences. At 4-year-old age Nikolai became interested in cinema. As a child engaged in athletics, darts, football freestyle.

In 1999 Nikolai received the first junior level darts, and in 2005 in the home qualifying standard Candidate Master of Sports.

Nikolai started to create fan-made video clips for movies at 14-year-old age (in 2004) by method of screenshots using PowerDVD, AviMaker and VirtualDub.

In 2007 he entered the State National Research Polytechnical University of Perm on specialty "Enterprise Economy and Management" and studied in great.

Since 2007 to 2009 Nikolai writes reviews for movies, stories, makes wallpapers, projections of the box office, and creates the music.

In 2008, Nikolai offered creator kinopoisk, Vitaliy Tatsiy, make the members rating reviews positive feedback ratio to the total amount. The idea was appreciated by Vitali and in 2009 has been implemented.

From June 2014 to January 2016, Nikolai reprinted poems of Alexei Motkin in internet, from April to August of 2015 he was the administrator of the group "Trailers" in VK.

Since 2016 Nikolai creates and writes articles in English, Russian, Deutsch, Italian, French, Portuguese, Croatian and Netherlandish Wikipedia about Russian rural localities and films.

In 2017 Nikolai was nominated on the award "Poet of the year", in 2018 and 2020 he was nominated on "Philanthropist" award. Nikolai was received "The Original Barnstar", "The Writer's Barnstar", two "The Geography Barnstar", "The Stub Barnstar" and "The Tireless Contributor Barnstar" for his contribution to the English Wikipedia in coverage of Russia. Nikolai was included in the list "Best Guys" published on the "Teaser PRO" channel. Nikolai entered 9 times in the Russian Book of Records: as author of the highest rated movie trailer, most liked video without dislikes, most viewed video without dislikes, most videos for movies with over 1000 and 10000 views, most videos with over 1000 and 10000 views without dislikes, most liked fan-made movie trailer and the largest number of articles, created in English Wikipedia.

Works of Nikolai on the Internet have total hundreds millions views, including over 50 millions views on videos (as of 25 July, 2019).

Nikolai took 9th place in the top of the most prolific editors of the English Wikipedia as of April 10, 2020.
