Nick Gates (born November 27, 1995) is an American football center who is a free agent.
He committed to play football for Nebraska in January 2014 over offers from Alabama, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, UCLA, and USC, among others.
After redshirting as a freshman in 2014, Gates started 2015 at tackle on the offensive line.
After his redshirt junior season in 2017, he declared for the 2018 NFL Draft.
He played in 35 games for Nebraska in three years.
He played college football at Nebraska and signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2018.
Gates signed with the Washington Commanders in 2023 before being released after spending one season there.
Gates attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He played baseball and football in high school.
At 6'4 and 270 pounds, Gates was ranked as a four-star offensive tackle recruit by Rivals.
Gates signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2018.
